Action Research towards Building Sustainable Communities
OUR PURPOSE
We believe in action research that seeks to empower and mobilize grassroots communities, social enterprises, and inclusive businesses as active players in the larger social economy.
We collaborate with different organizations across the development sector, from workers’ associations to non-profits and government agencies, towards positive socio-economic transformation.
ABOUT US
SEARCH Foundation is a non-stock, non-profit organization registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission and established in 2018.
We recognize the wealth of ideas and information generated by social economy organizations. However, there has often been a disconnect between what we know and what we do. SEARCH seeks to bridge this gap by converting ideas into action, and information into outcomes.
We translate research into practical plans, which are in turn tested out and implemented in the field. All throughout, we document processes and results, with the goal of designing replicable models for social development. This is what we call action research.
SEARCH is part of the Bayan Group of Foundations which includes Bayan Academy and Bayan Edge.
